I am a coach and a writer with a background in entrepreneurship and working with socially-motivated organisations.

I work with individuals and organisations, particularly charities, social enterprises and the creative industries, on business development and personal goals. My experience of breast cancer has also led me to work with people facing their own health challenges. Other areas of particular personal interest are career change and personal financial management and debt.

I have set up, managed or worked in a number of charities and social enterprises, from tiny ones with two staff to large national organisations. I have also worked in corporate land, in training and call centre management. I ran my own ethical retail business for five years and was the first director of Left Bank Leeds.

I hold the Advanced Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I am an accredited practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and subscribe to their code of ethics.

I coach because I want people to flourish and coaching helps people do that. I know from my own experience how valuable it is to talk freely and in-depth about what is important or troubling and to have someone listen closely and not bombard you with opinions or solutions. Coaching allows you to work things out for yourself.

I care about all aspects of human experience – our emotions, creativity, personality, purpose as well as our physical and nutritional health – and take a whole-person approach to coaching. In particular I love to engage my clients in playful activities, which open up different parts of the brain, as well as offering mobile coaching sessions where we walk and talk in natural surroundings (together or over the phone).

I am a Northern soul, based in Leeds, with a compassionate but direct approach.
