Coaching is your opportunity to explore what matters most in your life, personally and professionally. Once you have that clarity, you’re much better equipped to choose what to do, to get to where you want to be. Coaching can be used by you as an individual or by your whole organisation or team.
You may be excited about getting to the next big thing in your life or career. You may have an ambition you’ve always wanted to fulfil.
You may have organisational challenges ahead – a big new contract, a restructure, recruitment or redundancies.
You may be stuck. Not sure what to do about your work or a family situation, about your health or a relationship, about your next steps in life. Wondering what’s the right decision to make, to get to where you want to be.
Uninterrupted Thinking
As a coach I am a catalyst to help you work out for yourself what you think and feel. It’s your process. You’re the expert on your situation, not me. My core approach is based in Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment, which gives you space to explore your thoughts and feelings with my full attention, but without interruption. This is an unusual experience for most people and can be a bit uncomfortable to begin with, but as you get used to it, it becomes an oasis of unfettered and creative reflection, which will help you tackle any challenge in the way that’s right for you.
I may ask challenging questions or suggest activities or reflective practices to do in the session or afterwards, but these are secondary to your own thinking.
Positive Intelligence
I also offer the Positive Intelligence app-based course, which can be done as a six-week stand alone course or in conjunction with coaching. This is a very practical course which helps you to become aware of the ways you self-sabotage and to build new neural pathways in your brain so that you can respond differently to triggering situations. Our coaching will be:
- A conversation or series of conversations – spread over weeks or months, depending on your needs, that will allow you to work out your priorities and the actions you want to take.
- A source of challenge – inviting you to consider what you really want and how you will tackle the obstacles that are in your way.
- A relationship – in which you give me permission to ask questions, challenge and encourage you, and you have permission to explore whatever you choose, in a mutually respectful environment.
- Confidential, non-judgmental and safe.
